    Article and title inspired by an experience I encountered trying to locate a drycleaners in Memphis, TN at a time most cleaners were or had already ceased the business of dyeing clothing. I had a sentimental piece of fabric , a faded lightweight canary yellow cotton jacket, whose threads I wanted to hold onto, but whose color was rapidly disappearing!
